Now, select ‘Video playback quality bias’ from the list of options. Now double-click on the ‘Multimedia settings’ settings to expand it or click on the plus sign. The ‘Power Options’ dialog box will open. Click on ‘Change advanced power settings’. The power settings of your system will be displayed. If you want to optimize for battery life, you will have further options to chose from for optimizing the battery life. You can select the option for video quality by clicking on the box, and then selecting it from the menu. You can also select whether you want to optimize for battery life or video quality when on battery power. It’s an individual choice since it depends on the user’s preference and use. If you want to save network bandwidth by playing videos at a lower resolution, tick the checkbox right behind ‘I prefer video to play at a lower resolution’. This feature depends on your system hardware capabilities as it uses the GPU to process the video and enhance it. If you enable it by clicking on the toggle, your system will enhance the video quality. The next video playback setting you can change is ‘Automatically process video to enhance it’. Enhancing Video Quality & Videos at Lower Resolution Setting The display capabilities of the device are mentioned right under the ‘Chose display’ option. In Windows HD Color settings, click on the box under ‘Chose display’ to select another display device connected to your system. In case you connect another monitor to your system that supports HDR, click on ‘Windows HD Color settings’ to select it.
